MCA HALL OF FAME ELIGIBILITY
  1. The applicant must live in the seven (7) State Region defined as the Midwest Clown Association.  Those states include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin….. OR …..
  2. The applicant must be a member of a clown alley based in the seven (7) State Region defined as the Midwest Clown Association
  3. The applicant must be 16 years of age or older.  No points may be accumulated until a person has reached the age of 16.
  4. The applicant must have earned a minimum of fifteen (15) points.  The applicant must have also competed in a minimum of five (5) Midwest Clown Association Round Up competitions, under the following requirements.  .
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Points must have been earned after October 5, 1984.
  2. Applicant must have received a First Place in Makeup or Single Skit or Single Paradeability.  In addition, MUST have at least 1 point (a 3rd place) in one of the other 2 categories.  Example 1:  A 1st in Makeup and at least 1 point (3rd place) in Single Skit or Single Paradeability.  Example 2:  A 1st in Single Paradeability and at least 1 point (3rd place) in Makeup or Single Skit
  3. A minimum of 10 points must have been earned in Midwest Clown Association Round-Ups.
  4. No points are allowed for Group Skits
  5. Up to three (3) points may be used from either Balloon or Face Painting Competition back to October 3, 1991 (total of only 3 for either one or both combined).
  6. Points may not be used from Seniors Division or from Junior Joey Division.
  7. Points may be earned ONLY at the following clown conventions:
  • Midwest Clown Association Round-Up
  • Clowns of America, International
  • Clowns of America (pre-COAI)
  • World Clown Association
QUALIFYING POINTS
  1. Make-Up, Single Skit, and Single Paradeability
    1. First Place = 3 points
    2. Second Place = 2 points
    3. Third Place = 1 point
  2. Balloons and Face Painting
    1. First Place = 3 points
    2. Second Place = 2 points
    3. Third Place = 1 point

 
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Midwest Clown Association Hall of Fame Resume form is located on the MCA website.  It must be filled out completely and submitted to the Midwest Clown Association Hall of Fame Chairperson along with an 8” x 10” color photo in clown of the applicant prior to May 1 of each year.

If required, you may be asked to provide proof of the information listed on your Hall of Fame Resumé form.

The Hall of Fame Resumé will be reviewed, and if approved, the applicant will be notified of his/her acceptance into the Midwest Clown Association Hall of Fame.

The induction will take place at the next Midwest Clown Association Round-Up following approval of the submitted Hall of Fame Resumé.
Upon induction into the Midwest Clown Association Hall of Fame, the inductee will be given 5 minutes to make comments after the presentation.
