LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD NOMINATIONS:
Is there someone special who has mentored you in the art of Clowning? Now is your chance to recognize that special person! It was brought to our attention that many clowns were significantly influenced by the unselfish mentoring of an individual who took the time to teach, direct, and develop their interests in the art of clowning. The Midwest Clown Association wishes to recognize and reward individuals living and deceased for their contributions to the Midwest Clown Association and the clowning profession. Since this is an Midwest Clown Association award, we would like to know what this person did to promote clowning primarily at the Midwest Clown Association level and also the local level. Nominations must be in writing, preferably via e-mail, and include the nominee’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. In the case of a deceased nominee, include the next of kin contact information, for family contact if selected. Nominations must be received by March 1st of the year nominated. Nominations can be made by the members of the appointed committee or by the general membership. However, there can be no self-nominations, spousal nominations, or family nominations. The appointed committee members may need to verify certain information with the nominee. Nominees should provide non-returnable photos in and out of costume. Nominees may include video and other photos. There are two (2) categories of Award: Living and Deceased. There can be no more than three (3) inductees in any category in a given year. Awards do not have to be given annually. REQUIREMENTS: Nominee must have a minimum of twenty (20) years of clowning in the Midwest.
CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION: Midwest Clown Association offices held, teaching experience, educational articles, clown publications, awards, recognitions and achievements, community service, and circus participation are attributed to this nominee as a basis for consideration. How has this person impacted the Art of Clowning? Has this person adhered to the Clown Code of Ethics? LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD COMMITTEE PROCESS: Ideally, the Chief Joey appoints a Lifetime Achievement Award Chairperson. The Lifetime Achievement Award Chairperson appoints five (5) other members to the committee. The Chairman is the tie breaker. Lifetime Achievement Award committee will review all submission packets for the Nominees in the current year. If nominee is not selected, a new packet must be submitted. |
